Cabling Technician: Level I

About the Position:

We're looking for a cabling technician or an individual looking to experience the industry. This Level I position will entail installation of structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7, multi-pair, cables, fiber optic systems, audio/visual systems, and biometric systems/other types of security systems at job sites. This is an on site position meaning most work will occur out of the office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Running low voltage Cat5/5e/6/6a/7 cable and fiber optic cable in mostly commercial environments (including renovations & new construction in office building and/or warehouse environments) Some residential environment work as well.

•Terminating Jacks, 110 blocks and 66 blocks for various types of cable included Cat5E, Cat6, Cat6a and multi-pair cable.

• In running low voltage the following will also happen; mounting of location boxes, route and dressing cable through office furniture, install cable support systems, labelling wires as indicated on drawings, testing and troubleshooting after installation, terminating patch panels, toning miss labelled cables, sorting cabling into bundles at MDF/IDF, and more.

• Installation and full build out of IT rooms, rack mounted equipment, floor mounted and freestanding racks, data centers, cable tray systems, surface mounted raceways, and much, much more. Installing IT systems like network equipment, wireless access points in residential and hotel settings, intercoms, sound masking systems, call systems, time clocks, and more.

• Installing security system cable, mounting and installing surveillance cameras both indoors and outdoors, installing access control devices and panels, along with other security system installs.

• Installation of audio/visual and sound system cabling. Including, projectors, digital signage, control systems, displays, interactive displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, paging systems, amplifiers, and more.

• Using power and hand tools, testing equipment, laptops, scissors, lifts, boom lifts, and company vehicles. Other items as needed.

What's Needed:

  • 0-2 years of experience with low-voltage cabling

  • Experience with installing and troubleshooting is a plus

  • Have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

  • Be hard-working and most importantly reliable

  • Have clear communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Have good organizational and documentation skills

  • Professional in appearance

  • Ability to lift 80 pounds or more

  • Safely handle and climb extension ladders

  • Pass a background check and drug test

  • Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team setting

Cable installer level 2

Requirement :

1-Must have valid driver license

2-7 to 10 years industry experience

3-Negative pre-employment drug test ( Must )

4-Criminal and MVR backgrounds must meet company hiring criteria ( Must )

5-Must be able to lift 65 lbs, safely handle and climb extension ladders and have the ability to pull cable.

6- Individual must demonstrate the ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, operate power hand tools and work in both an office and a construction environment.

7-Install Voice, Data ( Cat5 , cat5e, Cat6 ) , TV, Access Control, Surveillance, Intrusion Alarm and other integrated systems.

8-Interface with customers to assess, identify, correct, repair and test components and systems.

9-Review installation work orders, designs and components.

10-Supervise and direct crews made up of Apprentices, Technicians and Journeymen on job sites.

11- Knowledge of fiber optic installation and termination is +

Cable installer level 3

Requirement :

1-Cable Installer level 2 +

2-EMT (conduit)

3-General Cable - Fiber Optic Cabling

4-Fiber Optic Termination Fiber Optic Testing ( Fluke DTX1800 series or Ideal LanTEK II )

5-Premium payment for FO Technicians with Fluke or Ideal testing unit.

6-Preference given to those: Proficient in fiber cable installation and termination experience

7-With ability and experience bending and installing EMT

8-With ability and experience with all penetrations and proper anchoring

Field Service Technicians

Requirement :

Our I.T. service department is looking for a reliable, experienced field service technician.

Covering the broader Los Angeles, and Orange County areas, we supply a service vehicle, after 90 day introductory period.

Valid Driver's license, with good driving record is mandatory, drug testing required upon acceptance.

We offer company paid medical, school, and vacation. Industry certifications are a plus.

Field services technician

Field services technicians ( Computer - Light network installation )

IT TECHNICIAN TO HELP OUT WITH COMPUTER MATTERS IN THE RESIDENCE/BUSINESS. PREFERABLY COLLEGE GRAD OR CURRENTLY ATTENDING COLLEGE WITH STRONG COMPUTER OR IT BACKGROUND AND IS FAMILIAR WITH DATA RECOVERY, SECURITY CAMERA INSTALLATION WITH PC BASED SOFTWARE, REMOTE NETWORKING, CLONING, DATA BACK UP, ETC.. VERIFIED REFERENCES AND RESUME REQUIRED.

Wireless Network Specialist

Job Description

The Wireless Networking specialist will be responsible for design and implementation of 802.11 wireless networks, including responsibility for overall network quality control and adhering to given installation standards, support of Field Engineering resources, and escalation of any implementation issues to the Customer and to internal Technology teams.

Job Duties & Responsibilities (* *Included but are not limited to the following):

  • Work with Sales Engineering team to assist customers in identifying and defining their wireless networking requirements.

  • Perform 802.11 wireless site surveys, utilizing equipment such as RF spectrum analyzers, WiFi meters and WiFi site surveying software.

  • Install and configure 802.11 wireless networking equipment, including wireless access points, routers, switches, and gateway servers.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of all activities related to the assessment, implementation, and continuing support of the customer’s wireless network.

Required Skills (* *Included but are not limited to the following):

  • Knowledge of IP network routing and switching protocols.

  • Strong understanding of 802.11 wireless networking concepts.

  • Documented experience leading the installation and configuration of wireless networks.

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, vendors and customers/clients.

  • Must be able to take direction and lead others to the completion of projects within stated timelines.

  • Strong basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications. We also have special programs that can generate additional revenue for you .
